ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be an agriculture student graduating high school or college student majoring or planning to major in agriculture. High school students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. College students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 the first year (2 semesters) in college and a 2.5 grade point average each year thereafter. A check will be made payable to the student and the college. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment in college at the time of the scholarship presentation.

PROCEDURE: Application forms will be made available to eligible students, including family members of the Supervisors and Natural Resources Conservation Service employees, through the conservation district office. The Board of Supervisors of the Franklin County Conservation District will select the winning applicant.

The application must include two letters of recommendation, a high school or college transcript, and a 200-300 word essay describing what you foresee as the future of agriculture and the important issues facing the agriculture community.

Applications, letters of recommendation, grade transcript, and essay should be returned to the Franklin County Conservation District, 103 Lakeview Court, Frankfort, KY 40601 no later than June 1, 2022.
